Will I just be wasting Gps time?

Saw Gp on Friday with sinus infection and what looked like the start of a chest infection. Started antibiotics, Friday's I was sick with but have kept yesterday's and today's down.
My chest is killing me, feel like someone's sitting on my chest. Today I have coughed up small amounts of blood.
Last Christmas this all happened to and I had pneumonia.

I don't want to waste my Gps time if I need to give the antibiotics more time.
I'm also terrified she will send me to hospital.??

If you are coughing up blood, then pls go to the hospital. Or ring 111, so they can get you an out of hours gp appointment

If you coughing up blood, go to a and e, or phone gp first thing. Blood is a serious sign.

I think coughing up blood is always worthy of a GP visit! Hope you feel much better soon.

Not wasting their time at all. Sounds like you may have pneumonia again and given that your condition has not improved after 48 hours, you may need to change antibiotics. Please do get seen today.

Blood is a serious sign.

it can be but very often it's just because of coughing a lot. small fragile blood vessels in our airways can burst & cause a bit of bleeding.

It can look frightening but it's a bit like a nosebleed, just slightly lower down the airways.

Thank you everyone,
I spent the day at the Medical assessment unit to be told I have a really bad chest infection, but my bloods are giving them concern as my marrow is very low (not really sure what this means) so I have to go back again tomorrow to get it re checked to see if it has improved.
If I get a temperature before then, then I have to go straight to OOH's

Sounds like they are worried about your white blood cell count being on the low side. There are many causes for this including infection. Conversely having a low white blood cell count also puts you more at risk of infection .

Hope you make a speedy recovery.
