Does anyone know how the pill works. I had sex sunday night having taken the 1st and 2nd pills of a new pack of contraceptive pill after 7 day break(logynon) but forgot the 3rd pill on monday. I just took it with the 4th pill (two at once). that means the 3rd pill was 24 hours late.

do i need the morning after pill as well or is missing one afterwards okay. is the first week of pills most important? or is it vise versa?

Missing any of the first few pills is the most dangerous time to do it IIRC.

Normally you would have to use extra protection for 7 days after missing a pill as this is how long it takes after missing one for your ovaries to start to 'wake' up' (hense the first few days of a new pack being the most important)

I would get the MAP and be extra careful for the next week or so

if i get the MAP do i have to continue taking regular pill as well?

I'd probably take the MAP & use extra protection for a week or so just in case.

Sorry to hijack the thread but when starting a new pill pack do you have to take the pills at the same time as the pack before? E.g. I always try to take it at 10pm but this is a pain if I want an early night as I worry I'll forget if I leave it til morning, so would it matter if I started a new pack at 9pm instead after a week's break?

They don't answer the silly questions on the isntructions!

i have always taken the pill in a 24 hour window, any never had a problem, but the main draw back is no routin hence i have forgotten to take it on occasion, hence this thread. 1 hour either ay is unlikely to be a problem.
