Anyone have PMS DURING period?

Hi - My PMT starts on the day my period starts (a few hours before bleeding starts. Sorry TMI )
Then carries on for the first 5/6 days of my cycle.
I did have severe PND which lasted a very long time and I think theres some link with this.
My GP says there is no way it can be PMT because if it was it would go as soon as peried starts. But the same thing happens every month so cant believe there isnt some kind of link.

Anyone have anything similar?

I suppose I can see what your GP is saying as it can't technically be called PMT as the whole nature of PMT is that once your period has started (and the hormones subsided), you theoretically feel better

However, perhaps feeling crampy and a bit under the weather (as a lot of people do when they have their period!) is a trigger for you feeling irritable and tense!

yes, often, and during the rest of the month as well sometimes.. Seriously though, are you taking anyting for it? I am taken lots of herbal and homeopathic remedies - and have noticed a difference. Eg Agnus Castus which is available easily from Holland and Barratt.

Im still taking a low dose AD - (long story was never able to stop taking them completely because of withdrawal issues). I take approx 1/2 a normal dose. Plus 2 fish oil capules a day and a multi vit/min. I cant take agnus castus because of the AD but am thinking of adding oil of evening primrose and also read that magnesium is good.

Its like my depression comes back with bells on during these few days. Very low / anxious/ not coping well etc. Yet last week good week at work/ Friday night had a great night out with friends/ Saturday lovely day out with DH and boys. Then yesterday woke up feeling shaky and weepy. No reason at all. Period started a few hours later. Today felt very low. Very difficult to lift out of it. Exactly same thing happened last month.
