Diarrhoea but due MMR tomorrow - safe to give?

Ds (15 months) is due to have his MMR tomorrow. He has a touch of diarrhoea but is otherwise well. He has also had a bit of a dry rash on his face although this is now clearing up. I just wondered if anyone has any advice on whether its still safe to go ahead tomorrow or if I should postpone for maybe a couple of weeks? Thanks

Personally i'd postphone it I wouldn't like to think of his immune system fighting one bug then having to fight 3 others as well. it's up to you though.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I've already postponed twice because it's taken me so long to make a decision about whether he should have it in the first place. Thanks for replying.

Good to see you've postponed appointment. MMR can give different side affects - including diarrhoea, temperature, rashes etc. It doesn't matter when they have the jab so long as its done before they go to playgroup. My youngest only had hers at the beginning of this year and she was 2yrs old - she had it done in hospital because she was allergic to milk and egg (there is egg in the jab) and the doctors there said it doesn't matter when they have it but good idea to have it done before they mix heavily with other children - ie playgroup. Good luck.

Thanks for the response. I'll leave it until there's no other issues and then I'll make another appointment.
