I know copper isn't magnetic!
Had a lumbar spine MRI today and check with the doctor that I was ok to go in with a copper IUD. I've lost my voice, so had my husband in the waiting room to talk to the nurses, but wasn't able to ask questions in the scanner or once i'd got changed.
All was fine but about 15 mins in I suddenly felt my stomach strongly jerking about - bit like a baby kicking - I assumed this was the IUD, as not sure what else it could have been.
Afterwards, I was quite worried about this, so wrote down on paper for my husband to just double check it was ok for me to have had mri with copper iid, they said yes yes. Bit frustrating I couldn't explain why I was worried due to voice, also am dyspraxic and hand writing is slow and generally illegible anyway. Sigh.
I've now got a dull ache in my uterus -which could just be because i'm worried about it. Have I now got a frazzled, melted, dislodged IUD?
