Anybody's child had protein in their urine?

About 6 months ago dd had a routine test at the hospital that showed that she had protein in her urine. The nurse went to tell the doc who said it was nothing ot worry about. Last week dd had another urine test as part of a check-up because we we're registering at a new doctors. Nurse said that urine need to be sent off for further tests. Anyway, phoned earlier today for the resluts and was told that we need to see the doctor today (got an appointment in an hour). Has anyone's child had the same result from a urine test? What did it mean? What happened?

...sorry, last week's test also showed there is protein in her urine, so it's not somenthing that has gone away!

Hello I know this is an old thread but how did your little one get in with the results and outcome of protein In her urine please?
My DS has had a urine sample done and has come back with 3+ protein in it. I'm so worried 😟
