Postnatal SPD, 3 years on!

My youngest was 3 in november and I still have SPD :-(

it comes and goes, and is mostly cured, but today it is really playing up.

Does anyone else still suffer from it?

I have it when I am coming up to my period. It sucks. My DS is 2 1/2. You have my sympathy.

Mine resolved when the babies were born, then came back when they were six. Sad

It gets worse if I walk for more than a couple of miles. The only thing that I found that helps it is Pilatea.

Go and see a Physio who specialises in Pilates. That should really help

I have it, permenantly, and DS2 is 16. I have had major surgeries on my pelvis, both front and back and can not walk unaided.

SnapHmm ds was 3 in feb. DH bought me a gym membership for Xmas and despite taking it easy and doing gentle exercise hoping it would help in the long run and strengthen my back/pelvic area, it is now worse than ever before. And period SPD sometimes has me laid up in bed for 2 days!

I went to a physio for three sessions, but the last one I was having a good day and she discharged me. I'm in a new area now though, I need to register with a new GP, I think I'll ask for another referral.

Bloody sick of it.

What area have u moved to? Might be able to suggest someone. In my experience gym based stuff can really aggravate some people. Pilates is the best form of rehab and to do it long term as preventative when no symptoms. I would recommend doing it with a Physio though.

Hi. 10 years now - every month Sad - could only face 1 pregnancy as was unable to walk at 6-9 months.
Pilates was a life saver - makes it manageable

Hi just jumping on the spd bandwagon, I started in early pregnancy my daughter is now three. It's horrid. It may sound weird but in a way it's helpful to hear that others still have it although its depressing that none of us have found a cure. Mid cycle is worst for me. Have just started Pilates , have tried just about everything else!

Me too! Had it with both DDs and recently felt better so started to exercise again. Big mistake! I have to stick to swimming, my pelvis can'r take any impact at all.

I am going to ask for referral back to physio I think.
