Is this eye lid eczema?

A couple of months ago the crease in one eyelid started getting red and sore. It became worse along with itching and was very dry in the mornings. I've been putting Differnt kinds of oils on to hydrate it. Aqueous cream ( or any other)stings. Now the other eye is getting dry, sore and itchy but it's the eyelid and below the eye near the bridge of my nose.

Over Xmas period have been sans mascara and now have
swapped to hypoallergenic mascara. It's better than it was but I've got a red patch that looks like eye shadow up to nearly my eyebrow and the other eye it looks like I've got half a bag under my eye. In addition, I've developed deep wrinkles arrgghh only where the redness is. It's starting to get me down. I look like shite. Thankfully it's not too sore or itchy but I have my moments.

Also, I have developed two red dry patches on my neck. Great, now can't wear a normal blouse. I've never suffered from eczema before, haven't changed anything recently (gone gluten free and cut down on dairy for something else but that was after these symptoms appeared.

Someone tell me it'll be ok!!!!!

I have very similar around my eyes and it is a type of dermatitis/excema. Mine also came completely out of the blue or so i thought it seems to have been triggered by a change in eyeshadow and mascara. I now need to be extremely careful what products i use and i also find that this time of year with cold weather and central heating is very tricky x

my eyes have done the same, started beginning of november, now I look like a panda only red not black.

mine are actually quite itchy - skin though, not the eye itself

I have a doctors appointment booked as I am so fed up.

oak - have you tried any creams that help?

I have found aqueous cream stung. I used vaseline which helped a lot with soreness, but hasn't helped the underlying itching.

my mum gave me some calendular cream which really healed up the sore bits under my eyes, but I can't use it on the lids

maybe we could form the red panda club Sad

I use hydrocortisone too, when mine get bad. I was prescribed something stronger when I was little (it's always been like this) but hydrocortisone works fine, just don't use it for weeks and weeks.

Interestingly, I can't use any eye creams. I love lotions and creams and have tried a million and all of them mess up my eyes, it's just a question of how long it takes. I've tried from the most chemical to the most natural and everything in between. I desperately want to use eye cream because I believe the hype, dammit. But it is not to be.

Thanks chaps. I was also reading last night about it being more common in more hum mature ladies. I'm 43 so still a spring chicken old bag

On another note, my periods are getting close together - 21 frigging days this cycle. So I reluctantly think I'm becoming menopausal....
