Ds been referred for physio - what to expect?

Ds is 3.5 and has been referred for physio because he walks on his arches (insides of his feet?). He's always been slow physically and is very clumsy - always falling over his feet. What kind of physio would a 3 year old get and and will it be something he'll see as fun rather than a chore? Boots were also mentioned at the appointment - that's fine, but tell me they're not the hideous brown things I remember kids having when i was growing up?

they may give him excersizes to strengthen any weak parts of his feet.
the boots are quite nice actually! my friends little boy has them and his are just plain blue lace ups

he may also end up with inserts in his shoes

exercises can be fun, dd2 exercises (low muscle tone) involve crawling about pretending to be a tiger, balencing on low walls, walking a straight line, throwing and catching games.

the boots now are lovely, they look like DMs. DS had the blue ones and DD1 had red ones with a cat on them and then some purple ones. :)

Thanks everyone - v reassuring.

Dh has the same problem; he walks a bit like Charlie Chaplin. But his family just teased and bullied him about it growing up. MIL apparently always called dh "ten to two" because she said his feet sat like clock hands Sad When we told MIL about ds' dx yesterday she was obviously feeling very guilty and she went quiet which was a first! Dh has sore knees now as a result of his dodgy walking. Hopefully ds being picked up now will prevent that and worse in the future.
