ds2 has been not well on and off since march 1st.
we have had 2 occasions where he has had stomach pains, thrown up (just once each time). He has been off his food, said his throat doesn't feel right and if i think back it's since chrstmas that his voice has sounded croaky, but , not every day.

every few days we seem to have an off day complaining of any of the above and then seems o.k again the next.

one thing i have noticed is that his temperature is normally around 36.5 and it's been 37.2 recently.

tonight he went really pale and asked to go to bed, temperature 37.2. he is now asleep and feels sweaty.
i can't help but worry that something horrid is brewing/wrong.
dh has gone out drinking tonight aswell and i'm starting to over think and panic. i don't drive either.

how old is ds2?
If you are really worried take him to the gp on Monday and have him checked over.

DD had a phase like that too. Seemed forever picking every bug up that was going round. And was coughing for ages with odd days of having slight temperature. Then one day she went to nursery being all happy and bubbly, next thing I know nursery trying to contact me because she's really unwell and has a high temperature. Took her to the doc same day and she had tonsilitis! She hadn't even once complaint about a sore throat! I felt like such a bad mother. Shortly after that she had another bout of slight temperature, followed by a stomach bug, that laid the whole family up, followed by chickenpox. She still has the odd day with slightly raised temp but do said not to worry to much unless she becomes listless and doesn't eat.

I think there were quite a few very virulent bugs going round this winter

HTH to put your mind at ease a little bit. But once again, if you are that worried take him to the doc. :)

Have you been to your GP? He might have an infection somewhere causing temperature?? eg his throat if he is croaky. I would visit your doc on Mon if he is no better. His temp doesn't sound that high, so hopefully nothing dramatic will happen tonight. Understand how worried you feel though, it's always worse when you're on your own.

thanx mrsbigd, ds2 is 7

i worry alot with him as he has been found to have a low immune system with a poor response to pneumoccocal, so i tend to think allsorts! Not that i can do any good by worrying!

took him to an out of hours g.p a few weeks back when he had stomach pains but he just said throat slightly inflamed, give calpol. He was fine for a week after that and hasn't said his throat is actually sore.
has been a bit snotty though.
sounds a bit phlegmy on chest on a morning but then nearly always does.

where exactly are the stomach pains? did they do a blood count at all to see whether he's got an infection, like mild appendicites? I seem to remember I had something like that when I was 6 or 7 (yonks ago Grin)

Hi ff
Our school has been totally swaped by bugs this month, mostly sore throat/ upset tummies,my son has been off 3 times this month alone, totalling 8 school days, these bugs really are rife countrywide!

Remember to give plenty of water though as high temps can dehydrate. Maybe open his bedroom window slightly, this always helps my son to sleep better as he doesn't wake up overheated. Obviously you've got to be vigilant, but as this has been going on for a month, it could just be a series of bugs, they get everything going at the age of four. Good luck, hope you have a good night x Wink

thanx. i don't really know if its all connected or just a run of bad luck really.
no blood tests, the stomach ache has been in the middle near belly button and disapeared for a week, came back and went away again. hasn't actually said anythings wrong with him tonight but i could just tell he wasn't right iyswim
