1 stone 12 pounds.

Is this right for her age? She is not short for her age just very prtite and thin.

She doesn't have a big appetite at all.

It just got me thinking as I ead someone on here that someones 3 yr old weighed 2 and a half stones.

my nearly 3 year old weighs nearly 2.5 stone. He isn't big for his age. If your daughter looks healthy and is lively she is probably fine.

My 3 year old (4 years old next month) weighs just over 3st, he is tall for his age but he is in no way fat.

oh yes she is very lively. Sleeps a good 10-12 hours a night, plays well throughout the day.

She doesn't eat much and mealtimes are a battle even though she doesn't eat many snacks.

I am sure she will be fine, if you are worried though, take her for a general check up, just to put your mind at rest

My DD weighed 24 lbs at 3. She is very petite. I really wouldn't worry. Some are just smaller than others. If she has lots of energy and isn't a 'sickly' child then she is fine. Awwww. I bet she looks really cute.

helsi, I expect dd1 weighs about that too. don't know for certain because we don't have scales in this house. She is very slim with a small appetite.
I am sorry that mealtimes are a battle though. I can't help thinking that with a small appetite introducing a level of conflict won't help.
I do know how it is but please try and be relaxed about it as much as you can. My dd1 eats hardly anything but I try to concetrate on her getting a variety in what she eats and making it fun, rather than stressing about quantity and making us all miserable.

If she's lively and happy I wouldn't worry!

DS2 weighs 3 stone 3lb and is 6 in June, DD who is only 2.3 weighs 2 stone 10........ she isn't fat and he isn't skinny, just lean.

It feels very odd when I pick them up though!

And my DS1 who is 9 years is just hitting the 3 stone mark! But he is happy and healthy and loads of energy. Hes fine - just very little!

Helsi, I just did a conversion into kilos (11.8) and looked at my red book - according to which she is just above the 2nd centile. So she is in the bottom 2-3% range of normal. The key word here is normal

By Miaou , who was well under the 2nd centile for most of her childhood!

Don't start comparing helsi; what is normal for someone else's child is not normal for yours. If you are happy with her health in other ways try not to worry about mostly irrelevant stuff like height and weight, we are all different (thank heavens).

helsi I weighed dd1 for the first time in ages on Monday (we don't have scales) and she is26 pounds - the same as your dd. she will be three in May.

my ds is 2.4yrs and weighs 29lbs but height wise is quite tall. Hes just long and lean. He has only put on 2lbs in weight since he was 10mths old but has just grown tall.
