Hope no one minds if I ask a question regarding miscarriages. I'm am currently 9 weeks pregnant with no2. I was feeling very sick, tired etc but now feeling, well not blooming exactly, but almost back to normal. A friend was telling me about her miscarraiges yesterday and she said both times all her symtoms stopped. So my question is has anyone felt really sick with pregnancy and then gone for the scan and had a missed miscarriage?

Yes, loads of pregnancy symptoms and then a missed miscarriage. Turned out to be a molar pregnancy which is why I was so sick still.

I have had a miscarriage and also two pgs after it that both had a cessation of symptoms at about 9 weeks. I panicked and had an early scan both times and both times the baby was fine

my symptoms came back with a vengeance about a week later

yes this is possible. THough it is probably not what is happening to you. Your probably having a good couple of days.

I had a missed miscarriage, still felt pregnant though. Went for a scan and they found the baby had died.

If you are really worried you could call an EPU and ask for an early scan.

I think sometimes there is too much benefit of hindsight. I mean that with a happy healthy pg (and nerves of steel) you drift between pg symptoms and not, just feeling grateful for the days you don't feel shitty. But if you try and analyse every symptom (or absence of...), you'll fail to enjoy those days. So you either listen to the person whose symptoms stopped and delivered healthy happy baby - or listen to person whose symptoms stopped because they were having a m/c.

Sorry, that's not really helpful at all is it. I had missed m/c in 2000 and thought I was still pg when I had my scan. Subsequently had two ds's with pg symptoms up and down as they will. More recently, had abrupt m/c in December 2005 and I honestly can't remember if the (frankly mild) pg symptoms has already started to fade. Am JUST pg again and can't decide whether to keep a diary of symptoms or just wing it and hope for the best. Sadly medics always say that at this early stage, there is absolutely nothing that you can do - not even taking bed rest - to improve your chances of holding on to the baby.

I truly hope you are enormously pg and blooming. Do try not to worry (yes, I know that's ludicrous )
