I was put on norethisterone to stop a non-stop period (7 weeks). I had blood tests to check hormone levels and it has come back with abnormally low FSH and LH levels, which is confusing my doctor. The doctor thinks it might be the norethisterone skewing the test results but I am slightly concerned it might be sinister (I read something about a pituitary disorder, including pituitary tumours, which cause low FSH and LH). I was wondering if by any chance anyone has heard if norethisterone is known to affect FSH and LH levels? Bit of a long shot...thanks in advance!
