Yo-Yoing temperature. Should I worry??

My ds has a temperature that keeps going up and down. There is nothing wrong with him (that I can find), he is still eating well and drinking. When his temperature hits its peak he gets a little drowsy and clingy but after a dose of Nurofen he's as right as rain.
Should I be worried as my db has severe tonsilitis and is really ill? Could my ds have caught it? Should I panic?

Don't panic - it might be part of this bizarre flu bug that is going round. Ds1 was the same all this week but toward the end of the week he's got more lethargic and stopped eating. Took him to GP yesterday and she said not to worry as long as he is takin fluids.

Like your ds - his temp would be high in the morning and then fine after nurofen. He'd seem OK then in the day but it would soar again at tea time. Really odd bug.
