DD1 has just got over a bug a couple of days ago.

This evening she has been burping none stop nd her burps stink of eggs? (she hasn't eaten any)

I actually thought one of DD's had poo'd themselves earlier but then the smell disapeared. I have just been upstairs now she did a burp and oh my goodness I wasn't even near her and it STANK!

Does anyone know whats up?

No it is nothing serious,my dd was off school for a month as she hasd a kidney infection that went undetected and was twice passed over as the virus first day back at school she got it bless her.The normal symptoms of the bug are -sore throat headaches sickness trots and sometimes fever in any order it last about 2-3 days max.

ds2 had a stomach bug about 10 days ago and what was coming out of his mouth smelt exactly the same as the stuff coming out the other end, ie vile!!

He was ok after about 3 days.

my dh and I had a really violent bug when I was 7 mths pg... it was called Campylobacter and is a bit like salmonella. Its distinguishing feature is ridiculously large amounts of wind (from both ends) which honk unmistakeably of eggs. We still reminisce fondly when there's nothing on telly about "eggy belches?" - Seriously, if it is this she might need antibiotics, I did because I was pg, although DS1 (aged 3) threw it off in a couple of days. Apparently it's usually caught from chicken and is endemic in Britain.
