my dd2 has a throat infection and has been screaming constantly for days now. she was given amoxicillan today by the docs and promptly threw up the 1st dose, so i called hertdoc, they said it wasnt an allergic reaction as too quick, but she is so unhappy. she cant eat anything that isnt soft, seems to be surviving on ready brek and yoghurts atm. just want my happy smiley girl back.

she also had an appointment at paedicatrics today with her big sister. dd1 is being referred for allergy tests, as dd2 seems to suffer intolerence there isnt much they can adivce at the moment (have already tried gluten, egg free diets) but they did pick up a sound on her heart (possible heart mumer) so have to take her back to the gp's when she is feeling better to get it checked again.

OOh I can soooooo sympathise, have just had a week from hell with 6wk old with throat infection. Luckily the vomiting had subsided by the time she had to have amoxcillin. She is so much better now. Didnt have to get up 5 times in the night last night and could not believe it. I went to bed again at 3:30 & thought see u in 1/2 hr , but she slept till 6:30 aaaaaaahhhhhhh bliss. Dont feel like a mental case today, but early days it is only 7:45!!!!!
Hope it gets better soon Misdee. Will check back later if poss to see how it is going.
