Right, first of all I've changed my name as I'd rather not be thought of as the one with the spotty arse.
Don't think I've ever mention it on here before but if I have then......I guess I'll always be the spotty arsed MNetter to you!

Ok, it's nightmare.
Sometimes I have spots that get really sore and I have to pop(or lanch them when it's a really nasty one) just so that I can sit down without winching! They mainly appear at the very top of my legs, sort of where you leg becomes your bum IYSWIM.
Obviously it looks bloody awful too. It like I have acne scars in places. Fancy knickers are not good for me.

By way does it happen?
I never had spots on my face, so why get them on my bum?
I shower everyday, have tried exforlitating(sp?) shower gels, loofahs(that bloody hurt though)but they still appear.
I've recently noticed they get worse with PMT but on the whole they are always there.

What can I do? Will I always be a spotty arsed person?
Is it a trip to the GP's for me? God, the poor man!

Poor you! I had this when pg. It's no joke! I got some ordinary table salt and used that as an exfoliant - use it all the time all over now - leaves my skin beautifully soft.

If this doesn't work, do go to your doc, you might be prescribed Dianette or something - I used this for acne on my back in my late teens/early twenties, worked a treat and they never came back.

Is dianette a mini pill or something?

Odd because spots are usually a hormonal thing. Somebody very close to me who'd rather I didn't mention that I'm married to him had a spotty back and a spotty bum when we were first courting. Apart from the occasional whopper it went away and he reckons it was because he was eating less meat and more veg, though it might've been an age thing.

Do you always wear cotton knickers?

It could be a heat rash sort of thing couldn't it up there.

Sorry I'm not being much help but at least I've bumped you for some other spotty-arsed mner.

always wear cotton undies. Definatley not a heat rash because they rae really angry and painful spots. Nasty when popped too.

I'm in my 30's so hormonal stuff seems like along time ago.

It's some kind of contraceptive pill, not sure what though - this was a long time ago. As far as I knew, it was usually taken for acne though.

Try the salt for a couple of weeks - probably best on wet skin with a bit of soap/fragrance -free lathery stuff. It's great on the backs of arms and thighs too.
