would blood from the nose after a fall

mean a broken nose?
ds just tipped his truck over and has a bruise on the bridge part of his nose and some blood comng out of the nose , not a huge amt, and it stopped pretty quick.
i suppose their noses would be quite soft cartilidge
hes 13mths

No not necessarily broken.
Apparently there's nothing they can do for broken noses anyway - according to my GP - I took ds3 for his 3 year check and pointed out his nose has a bump on one side from where he hit it some while back -GP said it could well have been broken

no. i have done this before! just gives you a nosebleed... doesn't mean it's broken

i ran into a table when i was little!
have fallen over MANY times involving alcohol though! lol

I think you would know if it was broken - look for big swelling around the nose and swollen eyes. I broke my nose quite spectatularly when I was at university and I've never quite forgotten it!

Bleeding from the nose is not uncommon when it has been bumped. There are loads of capilliaries (have no idea if that's the right word - have vague recollection of GP telling me this) near the surface in the nose so it's quite easy to burst a blood vessel when knocked.

I didn't know that my ds's might have been broken, it was only a small swelling and I only noticed it a few days later.
