Animation software?

DD1 (about to turn 7) spent about an hour happily doing animation at the Aardman exhibition at @Bristol a couple of months ago. She was really engrossed in moving the characters, taking a photo, moving them a bit more etc.

I was wondering about getting her some simple animation software for her birthday so she can do the same thing at home.

Can anyone recommend anything? She's pretty computer savvy.

If you want something very simple 2animate from 2simple is easy to use - the home edition costs £25, click on the 2simple for home link on the right.

A very popular program with schools is I Can Animate, but it's more expensive.

I was impressed by Zu3d at the BETT education tech show in January - there's an upgraded version coming out this summer - I will probably be buying on or other of these last two for the school I work at for next year - unless anyone on here can recommend anything better!

Thanks, Rusty. I'll have a look at those.

Any other ideas anyone?

I'm watching with interest. My kids love stick man pivot which is free but way too limited for your needs by the sound of it.

This is excellent.

You can go onto utube and watch videos of it working.

Stop Motion Pro, not at all cheap, but does the lot! Onion skinning, frame painter, rig-removal and sound!
