WTF is up with my hotmail account???

i have two accounts that are linked, one is fine but the other one...spam that i owuld normally delete if it makes it into the inbox is "read" and "read" several days ago, if that makes sense? ie all the mail open from yesterday now includes buttloads of spam that i didnt open, or even see for that matter.

there are also several emails that i have sent people that are again, "read" and in my inbox instead of in the sent folder, again, appearing several days after i sent them

i do not send mail to myself...

WTF is going on? is there a gremlin afoot or is someone reading my mail...

I suppose it could be a fault that didn't save the location and read status of your emails properly, but I'd change the password at once.

First send a new email as a test and see if that moves again.
Send it then log out and log back in again right away to see where it is.

Generally for hotmail or any email it's best to have a good password that can't be found by an automated script trying words from a dictionary.

I know no one really wants to type in something like qlWeI#kjrhq;wlrjlw but a short phrase like time4teanow would be better than any one word password.
