Address labels

I am going slightly potty trying to do address labels on Microsoft office. When I select my label size (Avery L7160) I'm not getting a template, just a blank document. The cursor does go to where you need to start typing the address, but you don't know how many lines you're allowed. Then when I print out the labels some of them aren't properly aligned.

The other thing is, how do you do a new page of labels, having saved the old page? It keeps telling me that in order to do any more labels it will have to delete the first lot.

Any help gratefully received.

I use the mail merge when I do a set of labels I want to keep. That way you get a page template and can save it blank to use every time you need labels.

Thanks for your reply, OAPNAA. I'm using the mail merge, but still have the problems I described. There must be a step I'm missing out.

Go to table menu and click the line that says "Show Grid Lines". That should show you the outline of the label. Then if you need to see the formatting, click the backwards looking P on the formatting tool bar, that will show you paragraph marks. They won't print, don't worry!

You should be able to add another page by just tabbing along the bottom of the page. As you tab, new labels will appear.

Hope that helps!

Not a problem! I better know how to do that, I've been some form of Administrative Assistant for 20+ years!
