Antivirus programmes

Went to pc this morning and overnight IE had opened 20 windows of antivirus programmes and now I am getting them appearing intermittently despite having pop ups blocked. Is it trying to tell me something or is it a way to acquire a virus ?

Never click on any of them, just close them down.

Get ourself a copy of Spybot Search and Destroy and see if that finds anything.
