Its 103mb atm. Its uploaded onto my camera's software prog, and in my pictures.

Do I have to zip it or something, if so how do I do that!!!
I was going to host it on photobucket but the file is 3mb too big, so if I can reduce then might just host it, for my friend to have a gander at.

phew

thanks

Zip probably won't help since it will be compressed anyway. It won't go any smaller. What you'd have to do is cut down on the quality to make it smaller - or trim some off.

If it's an avi filetype then virtualdub will do that, but maybe you'd be better off finding another place to upload it or send your friend a CD with it on if this is a one off since you'd have to get used to how to use the program.

Another approach is to split the file up and rejoin it the other end. There are lots of file splitters out there. This is one for example (not tried this one)

will look into the reducing quality thingy. Its strange that it seems easy to get an option to reduce a picture file size and not a vid clip. My friend is in usa, so posting is a mare.

Wonder where else I could host it

Could you host on onetruemedia - the site that loads of MNers used for montages a couple of years ago? Can't remember the restrictions on there for non-members.
