Making an ebook

Any ideas on how to go about making one?

I would prefer a site that offers and hosts it for free.

It isn't going to be a long book, just something that DD is doing and I thought it would be nice to have it in a book form.

Many thanks

With pictures, words and pictures?

In any case if you have it done, you can save the pages as PDFs - that's the easiest. But not sure where you could put it. Have a google.

She is writing various bits in Word and adding in clipart/photos etc...easy to save to pdf.
I have used onetruemedia to make montages, but this time I want something different.
I have a blog where I'd like to post the ebook.

Well you can just upload it as a file (a pdf file obviously) and link it to your blog if your blog supports file uploads.

I'm wondering what you are actually wanting, given that you already know about PDF's. Perhaps you are wanting what seems to be known as Page Flip.

Some possible software:
FlashPageFlip - not sure this will convert from PDF.

AcroFlip - this appears to be in Beta testing, and will accept PDF

If that is the sort of thing you are looking for and the above two you find don't do what you want, then Google for Page Flip and I expect you will find lots more, some professional level with high fees, other more basic.
