I am taking a small group of adults for a basic computer course. On Monday we are going to the local library and I am going to teach them how to e-mail surf the net etc.
I opened up a hotmail account on my home pc as I thought this could be retrieved on any pc, went to library and cannot get signed in, password was correct and the system was asking me mad "secret" questions nothing to do with the security question I had initially answered when opening the a/c!.
So I opened another hotmail a/c which I cannot access here. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong , should you be able to access hotmail anywhere- I wondered if I may have ticked the box"remember me" but if so why can't I get signed on either ac??
Thanks
I want to make a success of this course and am worried the college will oust me as an imposter only manged to get in as some poor lecturer is ill!

As far as I know you can sign in anywhere, unless of course the library has restrictions on what it will allow people to access?

Thats odd...I can sign in on mine anywhere. As bandf said, could the library have restrictions on Hotmail use?

Had not thought of that binkleflip. Will phone and find out. Although I still don't know why I can't access the one I opened at the library at home!

Yes, you can (although if the library has blocked hotmail then they may have those blocked as well).

As a really stupid and obvious question -- you didn't happen to open an @hotmail.co.uk account and then try to log on to the equivalent @hotmail.com account (or vice versa), did you?

emonaidtreasonandplot , I don't think the library blocked access to hotmail as I opened a new one there and ten accessed it- but could not access it at home. This is the webpage i opened them through - login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=10&ct=1194020867&rver=4.5.2130.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F %2Fmail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&id=64855

I don't think your question is obvious I am wondering about it
