Saving iPhone text messages to pc

Can anyone recommend preferably free (or cheap) software to transfer text messages and iMessages from iPhone to pc? My phone is getting full so want to save the message history somewhere else. Thanks.

Could you screenshot them and transfer them into the cloud? Or a Dropbox?

too many to screenshot. There is software out there, just varies in price and wondered if anyone had any to recommend.
