iPhone storage and photos - please HELP me

My iPhone 4 says that my storage is full so I can't take anymore photos from my phone. I've deleted all the useless apps etc to free space already.

I pay for extra Apple storage every month - if I delete all the photos on my phone are they still available on my cloud drive??

I've just done a back up but when I look in my iCloud Drive now it says it's empty.

Could someone please tell me what to do in words of one syllable or less.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Print them! Use an app like 'Fujifilm Imagine' which connects to your local photo print shop. Easily print photos from your phone in high-quality at an affordable price!

I am confused about this too.

I don't want to print my pics, i want to keep the digital versions. But I don't want to keep paying for endlessly more storage on my iPhone. I don't even want my photos stored on there! Not sure why they are, because I download them to my Mac regularly (and click yes on the 'delete from my phone' option.) Not sure what I do to free up storage space on my phone...

According to my geeky dp photos should not be stored in the cloud. It is not secure enough - things go missing and if you think you'll want to access them for 50 years + it probably doesn't make sense to keep paying. Ours are automatically backed up to a hard drive and to somewhere else which I can't remember (helpful). There's an app that does it. You need to store them in 2 places.

I back mine up to an external hard drive and then delete off my phone. I have a feeling they're still saved in the cloud though if you have that turned on for pictures.

Well first ensure that you've synced everything to iTunes on your computer. (I don't entirely feel I can trust iCloud.) Then you can use some sort of external storage as well.

How old is your phone? You may have to bite the bullet and upgrade when you can ...

(Interrupted, probably all been said by now!)

I don't have an iPhone but all my photos get backed up to Gmail photos which is free, then I delete them from my phone.

Risky keeping photos on your phone as they can be so easily lost.

its free - do not be paying money to apple for storage!!
