Samsung Phone trouble after Google Play Services download

A couple of weeks ago dd installed Whatsapp on her Samsung Galaxy Ace. Today she was prompted to download Google Play Services in order to continue to be able to use it. She had to create space by deleting data and apps including Whatsapp. Having done so she now can't reinstall Whatsapp Confused Sometimes it says insufficient space but having deleted stuff to create enough it then won't download it and hangs or the phone reboots at random during each attempt. Any thoughts please?

My daughter had exactly this issue on exactly the same phone. As I am the least techy person in the world, it may not help much when I tell you that I fiddled about a bit. I think I went to the Manage Applications bit in settings and cleared the data on the Playstore app. Then we were able to download Whatsapp again. It did the same thing a couple more times but has been fine for months. So, I can't explain it, but I can tell you it's not fatal!

Hope you get it sorted: I know the lack of Whatsapp can be a painful thing.

Thanks. Bizarrely , having got to the point of giving up, it has sorted itself and Whatsapp is working. Will have to see for how long!
