Hi. can anyone help me please to achieve the above.
I have spent nearly two hours looking around word to do this and have even googled it.
Im having difficullty because some replies say 'click line spacing command button' or 'go to normal.dotm.' I have searched under all headings and not found these words or buttons to click on.
I am getting very frustrated now.
I wanted to type something out and print it off before I go to work at 5.30 tonight.
Is there anyone out there who has the time to help a total novice who needs very step by step instructions.

Is it set to double line spacing at the moment?

I'm very Word rusty, but I used to hit CTRL+1 for single spaced, and CTRL+2 for double spaced. Worth trying?

Hi. its set on 1.5 spacing which is the default.
I was hoping to get it on single line spacing before I started to type it out.

If you have the home bar along the top

Click on paragraph then you can change the line spacing at the bottom of that window

if you haven't got a home bar along the top - can you do a screen print and put it on here?

Katy Mac: I will go and have a look now for the home bar.
Dont know what a screen shot is.

Office say that Word 2010 should look like this - you can just see the word 'paragraph' on the far right

KatyMac - thank you. I found the paragraph section, altered the line spacing and saw the options at the bottom. I think I have managed to set the default to single line spacing. Smile

I'm glad you got that sorted out the other day.

But just for future reference, sometimes it can be best to just type the document in whatever format you have, and SAVE it. Then you can have time to sort out exactly what formatting you need to do, and possibly save additional copies as you go along, just in case anything goes wrong.
