Can I save my laptop?

Can anyone advise me her? I am deciding whether to mend a water-damaged laptop or cut my losses and get a newer one.

I have an Acer e5 and I have had it for 2 years with no problems. But I stupidly poured a glass of water on it, then I used it too soon afterwards and probably fried it because it won't even turned on now. Does anyone know if this is savabe?

I did something similar with some tea, and the bad news was that the laptop wasn't saveable. However, I suspect that things like the milk content didn't help. It might be worth giving it a few days to dry out and see what happens then.
