Stop motion animation apps?

My kids would like to make a stop motion animation using their toys and an iPad mini (ds) and an Android tablet (dd) . I wonder if anyone else has had fun using an app like this?

Ideally it would be easy to use for 9 and 7 year old, have an option to add a soundtrack, editing capability, and the option to share the final thing. I've never done anything like this so just putting feelers out really.

Dd had a great one, ill go find it in my purchase history and brb.

You'll have lots of fun, dd likes to moonwalk then play it backwards, or get me to do a roll over and play it backwards, silly things like that but it was great to use for making dramas with her moshi monsters.

Found it

itunes.apple.com/gb/app/istopmotion-for-ipad/id484019696?mt=8

It went free for some promotion a while back so I locked in a license, I can't remember it's usual price and the AppStore is only displaying the redownload icon. There's a ton of free ones but I've not tried any.

Great, thank you so so much! I will get that one for the iPad and find one similar for Android.

Would love to hear what Mini movie ideas you and your dc come with so I can steal them.??

Dd has used schooby doo figures, moshi monsters, littlest pet shop and monster high dolls. I keep meaning to try using play dough or plasticine to make creatures and characters but forget to buy/make it.

So far a lovely lazy day making animations! Army men, all the playability baby dolls, old ELC toys, all sorts of things have made movies. They often involve things meeting, bring fed, fighting, falling g over, and suddenly appearing ( excuse that last is so funny when you watch it back). We aren't out of pyjamas yet because we haven't wanted to stop. Grin Thank you!

Try 'miniature:tilt-shift time-lapse videos'
It makes the time lapse look like a model village. It's really clever.
I'm not quite sure it will work for what you want though.

My ds (8) and his friends have used Lego Movie Maker on the ipad to make playmobil and lego stop motion films, easy to use for beginners.
