Hi have purchased blink box codes through tesco club card rewards. It says it works on toshiba tv through an Ethernet cable. Have a 3 year toshiba tv but no instructions. How do I view blink box on it?

Is your tv connected to the internet,is it capable of receiving internet. If not I presuming you could connect a laptop or pc to your tv and do it that way(disclaimer I dont know much about tv,s just laptops and pc,s)

The tv has to be the right sort, a smart tv, they tend to be fairly recent.
I have an hitachi and it connects via ethernet cable to my router. No blinkbox app for hitachi, least I have not found one but I use blinkbox on ipad and to rent things you use the website on a computer, then login to the app to watch the things you rent/buy.
So I imagine the smarttv app to be similar, though it may let you buy via the app, depending on the capabilities of the hardware/software I guess.

If you post the model number (from the plate on the back of the screen) then that may help to identify if the tv is internet enabled or not.

Thanks i am pretty sure it's not Internet ready as had a look at the side and no Ethernet port. There s a long pcmi slot. Is that how you connect a laptop? Also has a USB port but only seems to show photos not movies.

PCMI slot is probably for some kind of upgrade, such as adding a decoder.
You really need to refer to the manual with regard to what capabilities the TV has. USB ports can be for all kinds of things, from software upgrades, to showing pictures, some will play mp4/m4v video files, it really depends on what hardware is inside the TV.

Connecting a laptop to a TV is typically done via two cables... a VGA cable and an audio cable. Newer laptops have HDMI, so just one cable. TVs may have a VGA input (marked computer port) or HDMI inputs, or may have other inputs like SCART and PHONO.

Bottom of this page where it says Show More, you will find images of various connectors, so you can compare with what you have on laptop and tv.
