Hi I know there will be some cat lovers here (as opposed to loathers like me) and I don't want to cause offence but is there anything that I can do that will absolutely deter my neighbours cats from my garden? They poop all over the place and my DD will be 1 this summer and therefore using the garden.

Any advice appreciated

TIA

I'm a cat lover but I understand how annoying it is to when other people's cats poo in your garden.

My Mum uses this solution and it seems to work. She half fills large 7up bottles with water and place them around the garden on their sides. Am I making any sense?! Something about the reflection of the water in the bottles (or something like that) makes that cats stay away. It might make your garden look a bit funny but you can try it.

You can get various cat deterrents. The point is you cant do anything cruel. Whereas dogs are required by law to be controlled by there owners, and not permitted to run about, cats are recognised in law as natural wanderers, and its to you to keep them.
