Help me save my Venus Fly Trap!

I bought it in summer and it did really well, producing masses of new traps.

But over the last couple of weeks the traps have started to go brown and shrivel up until there are hardly any left. It has also shot out a flower(?) of sorts on a 12 inch long stem.

Any tips on how to salvage it gratefully received.

Mine dies back each winter and then comes back in the spring - so yours might? Just give it a bit less water and don't let it get too cold. They don't like tap water - rain water is besr.

Thanks Badkitten. So there's still hope for it.

I didn't know that about the tap water. I keep mine by the sink so it regularly gets stuck under the tap.

I hope it comes back again. I love having a wacky plant.
