FENCE PAINTING

Hiya, next door have just bought a new fence, and it's a totally different colour to our adjacent fencing. We had a quote to fit new panels but it was too expensive, I thought I might paint the existing fence. THe only problem is, it's currently stained dark brown, so I know I can't use a fence stain over it, but what would be the best paint to use on the fence?

I used external wood paint which I also used on the door in our old house - worked a treat
