Just as the title says
I think it might be a laurel but not sure of type - excuse dodgy pic I was trying to take it secretively

Cherry laurel? Grows fast.

Yep, it's cherry laurel. Has creamy flowers in spring and "fruit" that looks like dried cherries in the autumn. It does grow fast, but you can chop it back right to the stem and it will shoot again, v useful if it belongs to the neighbours has overgrown its space.
