Can you identify this plant (photo)

Not sure whether it's a weed or whether I planted it. 2 distinct crowns so it looks planted, but can't remember doing it last yeR or it being there last year and I planted a bunch of perennials the year before.

Less than 0.5 meter spread and same with height

It's a buttercup. I have thousands they spread like wildfire. Bees like them though.

And is the white one wild garlic?

Unless the buttercup isn't doing any harm where it is, probably best to have it out before it seeds. They also send out runners. If however, you are encouraging a 'wild' garden then leave them.
