Beanstalk - growing up to roof!

I have tried growing climbing beans for the first time - just two plants - they have climbed beyond the canes they were supplied with and are approaching the guttering.

Cute little baby beans are growing. Do I just let the beanstalks grow and grow - or should I stop the growth to put the growing energy into the beans themselves ...?

If I do need to halt the growth, how do I do it?

did you get the beans from a little old lady who fancied your cow?

climb up it, you might win a sack of gold

too scared to climb up - was always terrified of the Fi Fye Fo Fum Giant

Any sensible answers?

you need to nip out the top, so that the plant can concentrate all its energy into the the beans. Otherwise they will be small beans and the plant uses all the energy to get bigger rather than swell your beans.

I nip the tops off mine once they reach the top of the cane.
