I can't see the woods for the trees today
so far lots involved in foster dd's care have tried:
- explanation
- 4 years of therapy all focused on safety
- careful monitoring
- gradual introduction to new ways of doing things
- properly explained consequences when the behaviour is repeated
- praise/attention/reward when the behaviour is not chosen
- giving extra responsibility
Is there anything I'm missing that I could take to a professionals meeting. I'd really (obviously) like dd to not be moved on.
What other behaviour methods do you use?
Hitting and yelling are not options here
