I am now the proud owner of a pistachio KitchenAid and I need to test it out after polishing and admiring it for a week! Have you got any brilliant cake/bread/anything goes recipes?

We got ours five years ago and it is used almost every day to make bread. Any bread recipe works well, just use the kitchenaid to kneed and I let it rise in the bowl.

I made pizza dough once a week too.

We don't do loads of baking, as in cakes etc but it's great for that too.

Strawberry leaf, could you talk me through your pizza recipe and how long it is kneaded for in the kitchenaid? How long do you leave it to prove? Is it double proved? I never seem to get it right.

Google Robertas pizza dough recipe from the New York Times. Amazing. Just reduce the salt a bit.

I've used this very easy pizza recipe for years;

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4683/pizza-margherita-in-4-easy-steps

I make it in the KA though, I probably knead it for 3 minutes, just looking for a nice dough really. Then let it prove for as long as I've got then roll and put in a very hot oven with toppings.

I always hear the baking sheet in the hot oven before putting the pizza base on.

Away to google the robertas one though!

The robertas one tasted like the base from our local fancy pizzeria which uses a wood fires oven. It was just missing the smokey taste but the texture was amazing. Whacked the oven on max and heated the trays but cooked it on oiled parchement on the tray. Thinking of investing in a pizza stone though
