Have just rediscovered the recipe for yoghurt cake, and since it needs no weighing of ingredients, DS1 could make it all by himself - hooray!
Recipe
1 pot yoghurt
3 pots of s/r flour
1 pot caster sugar
1 pot oil
3 eggs

Mix all ingredients together and put in muffin cases (about 10) and bake at 160c for 15 - 20 minutes

Easy peasy, you only need to help them with the oven bit.

Thats a strange recipe but I am game for anything. What is the texture like - normal cake? What size yoghurt pot do you use? Do you use flavoured yoghurt?

Strange. Strangely nice.
Are we talking about the small yogurt pots here?

I wonder if soyal yogurt could be used for the d. intolerant?

Just a regular size yoghurt (150g), we used strawberry, but the yoghurt you use doesn't dramatically alter the taste of the final cake. I guess the final result is a bit like a madeira cake, or a dense sponge. I have made it in muffin cases, or in a loaf tin (prob about 45mins - 1 hour cook time in that case). I like it cos even very young children can make it without too much assistance.
Enjoy!
