Corned beef recipe- god it was good!

Never cooked with the stuff before (and I know it's got Bad Things in it) but wow- made a sort of patty with c b and finely grated carrot and onion, made a stock from umami paste (a recent find- was v sceptical but adds fab depth of flavour) Tom purée and water, poured the one around the other, topped with poached egg and served with mash and broccoli.

Heaven.

My dad wants corned beef hash for dinner at least once a week! I like it, & do include lots of veggies, though don't really want to eat it as often as dad demands it. The kids moan about it, but always eat it up, I think they moan because I pander to dad more than them.
