Would giving porridge oats a blast in the food processor give me oatmeal (for oatcakes) or is it something different?

Recipie calls for 50% porridge oats, 50% oatmeal

Some of my recipes say to do that which I have done.

Oatmeal is porridge oats. I use the BBC recipe which is

225g oats
60g wholewheat flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
60g butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
60-80ml hot water

You can either use just normal porridge oats or if you want it finer pinhead oats. There is something else called a Staffordshire oatcake but I've never tried them and they didn't look good in the pictures.

Staffordshire oatcakes are a bit like savoury crepes - they are lovely
