Hard blue plastic in kids pizza?!

Afternoon ladies, wondering if you could give me your opinion on this...
Two weeks ago I was cutting up a cheese and tomato pizza from the Asda Chosen by Mums range. As I did so, I noticed little clear blue things poking out of the dough base. I took pictures and a closer look, and they were hard, transparent bits of plastic.
I obviously complained and took it back to the store, with the packaging and the two unopened remaining pizzas. The woman at customer services seemed suitably concerned, and assured me an investigation would take place. I told her I wanted to be told the outcome, and exactly what the blue stuff was made of, as I had already given my young son one of them. She said she would make a note that I wanted detailed results.

Anyway, I received a letter from asda, saying how concerned they were, the pride they take, grateful I'd let them know etc. they then said that the blue contaminant was "most likely to be blue food grade plastic, most commonly used to package raw ingredients. We use blue plastic in our factories to make it easier to see should it enter the flow of production. I'm disappointed this piece has remained undetected on this occasion." The letter finished by telling me they'd sent a £10 gift card "as a gesture of goodwill".

Now, is it just me, or is this not a satisfactory response? 'Most likely' implies that they don't know what the plastic was, this is just their best guess. It's not the detailed response I was expecting. My son has already eaten one of them for pete's sake! I want to know exactly what he might have ingested!
I'm usually really timid and hate making a fuss, but what would you do? Just let it go, or contact them further?
I'm considering writing back, 'thanks for keeping me informed, I look forward to hearing the actual results of your investigation...'

What would you do? I just feel really fobbed off.

Plastic is pretty indigestible so its unlikely to do harm.

If they had given you the 12 or so syllable chemical name would you have been any further forward?

Two weeks doesn't seem very long, I imagine by the time everything gets passed up the quality assurance chain and they identify where it was produced then investigate further it could be months, especially if the pizza was manufactured in another country.

I know what you mean, obviously they also believe he is in no danger.
Regarding time, that's kind of my point. Two weeks isn't long enough for the kind of investigation I was hoping for.
Honestly, I would like to know the composition for my own curiosity. I would like to look it up and learn where in production it was used. Maybe I'm just being odd!
