Ds age 2 loves dipping. He is more interested in eating the dip than the thing that's being dipped.

Has anyone got any simple dip recipes, preferably with hidden fruit/veg, but also tasty?

I used to make a cucumber dip to go with pakora.

Basically it was sour cream or plain yoghurt with chopped up spring onion, tiny bit of garlic and loads of grated cucumber. It ended up getting used for everything- dipping veg in, crisps, sandwich filling.

Egg mayo
tapenade
pureed peas with mint and yoghurt
grated tomatoes with olive oil
guacamole
roasted beetroot pureed with yoghurt

My DD is exactly the same so I'm looking for inspiration. She also has a slight obsession with bbq sauce Blush

These are great thanks.
My ds basically uses whatever it is for the vessel for the dip and ignores the actual food.

"Dip! Dip!"

what about doing a cheesy one? Mix up some soft cheese with a bit of yoghurt or cream to make it more "dippy", you could add whatever you like- some grated cheddar, herbs, diced peppers etc. You could even use a flavoured soft cheese, I know Phillidelphia do one with salmon in.

Really simple: apple slices and dip in peanut butter!
