We haven't had one of these for a while. For breakfast ds (3.5) just had: bowl of oats and puffed cereal with milk, 1/4 apple, slice of melon, some grapes, a box of raisins and apricot pieces, a satsuma, piece of cheese, then a boiled egg and slice of toast and butter

Would someone please explain to dp that I need more money each month for food than I did when ds was a baby?

wow that's a day's food for ds. without the melon anyway.

but (to add my boast) dd's favourite meal is a plateful of "things that make me grow". so there.

What a lovely phrase SP

Ds does not eat like this every morning or we would have to remortgage the house I think. But once in a while he really goes for it.

Today DS2 had 2 boiled eggs, slice of toast with cheese, 2 satsumas, loads of grapes, then half a slice of my banana on toast. Followed by a fairy cake he made yesterday

Yesterday morning he had one grape

dd (who was 6 in August so doesn't really count) and ds (who is about to be 5) had each for breakfast

4 slices of toast (full pieces) with chocolate spread
1 bowl of weetos (dd), ready brek (ds)
1 pear

(please gloss over the fact that they had chocolate spread on their toast - we were v late this morning and it was organic chocolate spread )

Both 5 weetabix and 4 slices of toast are both very strong contenders.

Ds didn't have much lunch but then had a whole torilla wrap stuffed with felafel, beetroot, beansprouts, carrot and sour cream. For afters a hot cross bun, a yogurt and a pear. I also had to try 3 times to wake him up for nursery this afternoon so I have a suspicion he may be growing...

As an outside entry in the outrageous breakfast category, dd2 (age 2.10) would like to offer:

3 bowls of rice krispies
2 slices of toast
an apple
3 rashers of bacon

Quite why my mum thought it appropriate to let her have three bowls of cereal I do not know. I think the implication was that we were starving her.

that's a good one as well frogs

are any of these children biffers btw? Ds used to be a portly little soul but has now gone rake thin, and never stops eating some days

Dd2 is a shrimp. She's nearly three but still in 18-24 month clothes. She's not wasting away, exactly, but def. on the dinky side. She doesn't usually eat anywhere near this much, but can obviously pull out the stops if she feels it's worth her while.

suzy you are just embroidering because you are jealous of our freak bellied offspring

Cod I think that may be a winner or at least a runner's up medal. I can't imagine being capable of eating that for breakfast myself and I am no lightweight at eating. Dp was once congratulated by the proprietor of an Italian restaurant for finding a woman who could eat so much

"She make you very happy, she wonderful to eat so much, she enjoy life..."
