Here . When they say chopped, do they mean diced? And why are there no spices in it?

I guess chop it as small as you might want to see the pieces in your soup, seeing as it's not a soup where you blend it all at the end.

Maybe no spices because it's got stock, tomato puree and salt and pepper, all of which should bulk up the flavour?

think it sounds quite nice btw!

They do mean diced I think. Maybe they don't like spices - but I'm sure you can add whatever you fancied to taste. I always "adapt" recipes

Ah bugger, didn't really dice the veg. Well, should be ok.

I hope it's alright, I really struggle with kale (who doesn't?). I added spices, and leeks. Didn't have any stock, so used water.

I'm sure it will be nice! spices and leeks can only add to flavour, and just like having stock really.

I struggle with kale and the like. we kept getting 'spring greens' in our veg box over winter and i struggled with that stuff too.

I just treat "spring greens" as spinach - stick it in a stir-fry at the end, put it in a tagine with chickpeas and tomato, use it as a topping for portobello mushrooms (with cheese), etc etc.

Kale is just so chewy. I feel very worthy eating it, but ever so slightly bovine.

The spring greens we got in winter were like that - super chewy even when in a soup or stew, just endless chewing. I like ALL vegetables but these are some i struggle with!

It does get a bit tiresome.

I say "no" to cauliflower (cauliflour?) as I see no point to it, and it annoys me. I accept all the other veg, though.
