Simple but yummy and quite quick: chicken breast stuffed with herby cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Delish! We usually have with either home-made oven wedges or new potatoes and whatever veg is to hand Smile

Pork Chops and cider:

In a baking dish layer sliced onions, sliced apple and sit browned pork loin steaks on top. Pour over cider until it sits just below the pork. In a bowl grate some cheddar and sprinkle in some bashed up ready salted crisps (trust me!) then scatter onto pork. Bake for around 45 mins until golden and crispy. Serve with mashed potato and veg.

Chicken and leek casserole.

Fry chopped leeks and carrots in butter. Add white wine, chicken stock, thyme and salt and pepper

Add a tin of chopped tomatoes

Add some chicken breasts

Cook in oven for an hour and a half on gas mark 4.

I have it with mashed sweet potatoes or mashed pots with dour cream and mustard.

Is really easy but absolutely delicious!

this chicken and bacon casserole is easy to make, tastes like you have worked really hard and leaves time to spend with your guests because doesn't take much last minute attention either : )

(sorry, confused this thread with a different one asking about ideas for people coming around, hence comment about guests!)
