best way to cook ribs?

I have some ribs from ASDA that come with sauce etc. I think cooking them for a long time at a low temp would make them nice? What do you think?

Slow cooker? Oven? What temp and roughly how long?

TIA

we normally put ribs in a hoi-sin sauce, wrap in foil and cook for 4-5hours or so at around 120°C in the oven

Slow cooker or oven very slowly then bung sauce in a saucepan and reduce it maybe?

we dont normally have much sauce left to reduce so any excess from the foil just gets poured over the top of the ribs

I do ribs slow in the oven.

Make sauce as follows:

Big squirt or two of tomato sauce
Big glug of soy sauce
teaspoon of marmalade
teaspoon of brown sugar
dollop of golden syrup
big spoon of mango chutney

Bung ribs in oven slow (used to do them overnight in the slow oven of an aga) with sauce on top

Then cover with sauce again and bung oven up as high as it will go for 20 mins

Eat and enjoy

Those ones from asda are amazing, they need no special cooking like raw ribs do. I think those ones (vac packed ones) are cooked already. We do ours at 180 for 15 mins without the sauce on (if it comes separate). Then put the sauce on, whack the heat up and pop them back in for 5 mins.

I think these are marinated with an extra sachet of sauce. So if I slow cooked them then put them in an oven tray, added the sachet of sauce and gave them maybe 30 mins at a higher temp, would that work or dry them out?

Oooh loveulots really? So no slow cooking needed then.

That sauce sounds amazing Freddie I might get some raw ribs from the butcher next week and do that!

Be warned, wannabe it's a recipe I made up myself so the quantities are rather fluid. And kind of based on what's in my cupboards/fridge every time I make it Grin

I mix the sauce in a jug btw. Should have said that Blush
