I am totally uninspired.
When I say family friendly, I mean healthy, low-salt stuff for baby.

Can never go wrong with homemade soup. I always make on a Sat with whatever in fridge, onion, celery, carrot, pots, leeks etc. chop veg , soften in oil and add some water or low salt stock. Let it bubble away til veg soft. Blend in liquidiser or with stick blender. Keep thickish for baby and thin down bit more for older children and adults. Serve with Parmesan, cheese on toast, fresh rolls or Ploughman type bits on table. Finish with yoghurt and fruit purée mixed together.

Thank you Love, we love a good soup in our house as well. Sadly, baby Marbles is far too independent to allow us to spoon feed her and she isn't quite adept enough with a spoon of her own yet. She got some spud, broccoli, spinach and I fried a lone chicken breast, parceled it up, then we went out Grin

Most weekends we have broccoli pasta on saturday

And homemade pizza on Sunday. I use the jamie oliver pizza dough recipe and made enough of 8 pizza at a time. The dough freezes well and will have plenty of time to defrost if you get it out at breakfast time.

At weekends, we usually have either twice baked potatoes (bake them, halve them, scoop out the middles and mix with eg. Tuna / cheese / spring onions / baked beans...) and then pop back in oven for 10 minutes.

Or quesadillas: grease 2 baking sheets, oven on to 200, fold a tortilla in half, fill with something like ham, tomatoes chopped up small, coriander, cheese..., repeat, squash tortillas between the baking sheets and pop in oven for 5 mins.

Bubble and squeak...
